Halfway Around the Sun

Maya is 6 months old, and she is doing great! We had her 6 month appointment last week. She is still in the 10th percentile for weight (13 pounds, 9 oz) and the 25th for height (25 inches). All in all, she is right on track! She is rolling over both ways and can manage to work her way across the room by rolling. She is also grabbing and reaching for everything in sight and can usually get a good grip on whatever she sees. Still no teeth, but that's ok!

Enjoy the pictures from her half birthday. Before we know it, she will be turning 1!

Look how well I can hold my head up! I'm going to be crawling any day!

Yes, my head is much bigger than my body (50th percentile for head circumference!). But that's what makes me cute!

I still love to chew on my feet and pull my socks right off!

California!

Two weeks ago Maya had her first plane trip to visit Dadi and Dada in California. She did great on the plane ride, especially on the way there. She didn't sleep much while we were there (so neither did Mommy and Daddy), but I think she enjoyed meeting all of her West Coast family and friends...and spending some time in the California sunshine! Here are some pictures from our visit...

waking up early to make it to the airport

I had a fun time on the plane, and luckily we had a whole row to ourselves!

Dads and Babies!

While in California, we went to the temple for a little blessing.
I got to meet new friends - Kristy and Kai (a candidate for future husband!)

I had fun seeing my West Coast family!

And, I had my first trip to the beach!

Daddy put my feet in the water. I wasn't very impressed!

I made my footprints in the sand next to Mommy and Daddy's.
And, I got my new favorite toy...Sophie the Giraffe! She tastes SO good!

All in all, we had a wonderful trip and are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
