18 and 19 months

Maya turned 19 months last week, and it's hard to believe! Two years will be right around the corner! We've been having a lot of fun over the last few months...

First, Maya finally took her first steps after her 17th month birthday (January 11th to be exact!). Her cousins Hannah and Sophia and Aunt Andrea were visiting. I think that she walked first to Sophia. Here is a little video from her first few moments walking...

Since then, she has been walking around everywhere and getting very comfortable doing so. She is even starting to run a bit. Here is one more short video of her being a bit more confident!

At Maya's 18th month check-up in February, she weighed in at 21 lb, 2 oz., and is 31 inches long. Overall, she is around the 25th percentile and is doing very well!

At the beginning of February, we took a trip to California to visit our West Coast family and friends. We had a great time and enjoyed the warmer weather! We spent Maya's 18th month birthday with Raj's friends Mike and Kristy and their kids, Kai and Mia.

We even got to the beach a little bit while in California. Maya's favorite thing was to walk around picking up little handfuls of sand and giving them to whoever would take them. Good thing she didn't try to pick up all the sand on the beach - or we would have been there forever!

Maya enjoyed her second Valentine's Day! She is in love with her little "baby" (see picture) and asks about the baby every morning when she wakes up.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Maya has finally started to sit still and enjoy listening to and looking at books. She has a few favorite books these days!

Finally, here is Maya's 19 month picture. She is growing so fast and saying so many words too! It seems like every day she is trying to say something new.
